CHICKEN CURRY

INGREDIENTS

1.Chicken-1 kg
2.Potato-2
3.Chilly powder,coriander powder-2 tablespoon
4.Turmeric powder-half teaspoon
5.Tomato-2
6.Shallots-2 cup
7.Green chilly-4
8.Ginger-1 small piece
9.Pepper-1 teaspoon
10.Curd-half cup
11.Coconut milk-1 cup
12.Oil-7 teaspoon
13.Cardamom-4
14.Cinnamon,cloves-4
15.Cinnamon seeds-1 teaspoon
16.Garlic-6
17.Salt,curry leaves,coriander powder,mustard seeds-as required


METHOD

1.Clean and cut chicken into small pieces and marinate it with curd and keep for half an hour.
2.Put in a pan oil and add mustard seeds and when it starts to splutter add add shallots,green chilly,crushed ginger,garlic,curry leaves and saute well.
3.When shallots start to become brown add chilly powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, pepper powder and saute well.
4.Add marinated chicken and salt and saute well for 30 minutes and when it starts to change colour put into another pan anbd add some hot water to it and cook well by closing lid.
5.Saute tomato and potato in oil .
6.When chicken is half cooked add sauted potato and tomato to it and mix well.
7.Put in a pan all masalas and heat well and make them into a fine paste.
8.When chicken is fully cooked add masala paste to it and mix well.
9.When it starts to boil add coconut milk to it and switch off flame and serve by adding coriander leaves.
