MALABAR CHICKEN BIRIYANI

INGREDIENTS


1.Chicken,basmati rice-half kg
2.Onion chopped into long pieces-3
3.Ginger-garlic paste-one and a half tablespoon
4.Crushed green chilly-5
5.Tomato-2
6.Garam masala powder-1 teaspoon
7.Lime juice-1 lemon
8.Cardamom,cinnamon,cloves-3 each
9.Corriander leaves-as required
10.Turmeric powder- half teaspoon
11.Cashewnut,kismis- as required
11.Salt-as required
12.Ghee,oil-for frying

METHOD

1.Take some ghee in a pan and saute onion.
2.Add ginger,garlic and green chilly and saute well.
3.Add tomato and saute well.
4.Marinate chicken with salt, turmeric powder and little lime juice and keep for half an hour.
5.Cook marinated chicken by adding little garam masala powder to it.
6.When chicken is half cooked add little corriander leaves, little lime juice and cook well.
7.Put in a pan ghee and fry one onion till it becomes golden brown.
8.Also fry cashewnut and kismis and keep aside.
9.Take a pan and pour 3 glass water to it and when it starts to boil add cardamom, cinnamon,cumin ,pepper to it and also add basmati rice.
10.When rice is cooked strain off excess water.
11.Serve by first adding chicken, then rice ,then onion, then corriander leaves ,then cashewnut and then kismis and then again rica and chicken on top.
